Over the past two months, the Sterling Institute has continued working with the Sterling College Board of Trustees to explore securing the intellectual property and other assets needed to carry Sterling’s legacy forward. At the same time, Headwaters Community Trust has independently submitted a purchase and sales agreement related to the former Sterling College campus and is pursuing its own process. While these efforts are separate, our hope is to continue productive conversations with both Sterling College and Headwaters as the future of the campus and Sterling’s legacy takes shape.

In the meantime, our work has continued to move forward. We have been developing the Institute’s educational and community programs, refining our vision and governance structure, building a strong core leadership team, strengthening regional partnerships, and laying the groundwork for the Institute’s launch. There is much more to come, and we look forward to sharing additional details about our programs, partnerships, and next steps in an upcoming newsletter. Stay tuned!
